Singer to Pay Ex-Husband Over $13 Million

Monthly Support and Child Custody Determined

Singer and TV host Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock have reached a settlement in their divorce case. Clarkson will pay Blackstock over $13 million as well as monthly support for their two children.

The former couple, who were married for nearly seven years, had been headed toward a public trial in their divorce proceedings. However, they reached an agreement before the scheduled trial date.

As part of the settlement, Clarkson will keep the Montana ranch where the couple lived during their marriage. Blackstock will receive a lump sum payment of over $13 million, as well as monthly child support and spousal support for the next five years.

The divorce between Clarkson and Blackstock was finalized in August 2021. The couple shares two children together, a daughter and a son.
